Flash loving fun
Robert got a new flash for our camera and has been unstoppable ever since. Here are a few random pictures he took of our girls while learning about the new flash. Enjoy!
Preschool, year 2
Maia started her second year of preschool at First Presbyterian Church. She loved it so much last year and was excited to go back. NO, she didn't get held back!!! Since Maia has a late birthday and will always be one of the youngest ones in her class; and since she was never in a Children's Day Out program, we decided to put her in Preschool for two years. We have been so pleased with the school and with how well Maia is doing there. She is growing so quickly and I'm sad to think this is my last year with her home before she starts Kindergarten!
Right to work kids!
Five minutes into the day and her super silky hair is already falling down. Why do I even try?

Tiny Dancer
Well Maia has started taking tap and ballet. Most of the other girls in her class have taken dance before, so she sort of sticks out and often is making up her own routines. But she is loving it and tells me every week after class, how much fun she is having.
I'm going to have to find a better background next time...

Happy 1st Birthday Josephine Rose!
On July 30th, sweet Josie turned one year old. I just can't believe it was over a year ago that I first laid eyes on my beautiful second daughter. We truly grow to love her more and more each day and thank our Lord for allowing us to be her parents.

Time for cake!
Needed a little help from Maia blowing out the candle
Give me the cake and nobody gets hurt...

Big Sis Maia saw the attention Josie was getting from having pink icing on her face and had to get in on the action.
Arizona
In early August we made the LONG trip to sunny Arizona. The girls and I went in the spring, but this time Robert and Aunt Amy made the trip with us. It was a busy and fun-filled week. These are but a mere fraction of all the pictures we took. (540+ at the Grand Canyon alone!) So here are a few highlights...
The Grand Canyon!
Here we are, already hot, ready and waiting to experience one of God's greatest creations.
I can't put into words how I felt upon first getting a glimpse of the Grand Canyon. I literally couldn't speak. How anyone could look upon this magnificent canyon and doubt the existance of a Creator, I'll never know.

Slide Rock
On our last day, we went to Slide Rock in Sedona. It was fun but we had to be so careful, because it is called "Slide" Rock for a reason.
We ended the trip with a birthday celebration for our little Josephine, who turned 1 year old the day before we left.
