CHRISTMAS 2008

So here is just a tiny portion of some of this year's Christmas memories. What a privilege it is to be servants of Christ Jesus, whose birth we celebrate during this time. I'm truly humbled and blessed to be called a child of God, that all my family loves and serves Him with their lives, and that we're teaching our children to love and follow Him too. This year was extra special in one particular way. It was Christmas last year that we told our families that we were expecting another addition to our little family. And this year, it was wonderful to have our sweet Josie with us. She is such a precious child, our sweet little lump of sugar, as we often refer to her. Again, we're grateful to our Lord and Savior for His provision in our lives, for our terrific marriage and for our two amazing daughters.

Christmas Eve Eve

Our Christmas festivities began two days before Christmas, with dinner and gifts at Shanny's. We had yummy Mexican food and it was great having all the Rydell kids together. Maia and Dawson are so fun to watch together!

Christmas Morning

We woke up early Christmas morning and did gifts with just our family. And it was extra special because, even though they're not pictured, Papa and Gramma Carol were there too and got to watch the girls open their gifts.

Maia's daddy picked out these books from the Little Miss and Mr. Men series. They're peculiar little books and so of course Maia loves them.

Maia shows off her new rain jacket, umbrella and rain boots she got. Those are sure to come in handy since it rains all the time here! :) What can I say? I knew she'd love them and they were a great price from Gymboree online. And the three times a year it does rain here, she'll be most styilsh 3 year old around.

The Whole Reed Gang

We pretty muched capped off all the Christmas festivities with the whole Reed bunch. Sammy's (Granddaddy's) sister, Nancy, from Big Spring came and also Sandy, from Tulsa, and her family was there too. It was so good to see everyone. We don't get to see them nearly enough and it was great to have them spend some time with our girls.
