The Death of a Snowman

Our snowman was only with us a few hours, but we enjoyed every moment. I called CSI to come investigate, but they didn't seem too interested in coming to help. I bet if Grissom were still there, he'd have come.

Weekend Getaway

Our family, along with Grammie, Granddaddy and Aunt Amy, took a little trip to the mountains of Ruidoso. It was really nice just getting away from the routine for a few days.

The Circus comes to town

In January, all the Four-year olds in Maia's Preschool put on a circus for their parents. Maia chose to be a Princess Pony Rider. Quite the shocker, I know.

Saturday Morning Cartoons

The sweetest thing about this moment for me, was not that they were sitting peacefully next to each other in companionable silence. It was that Josie had already claimed the chair, and instead of crowding Josie out of it like she normally does, Maia got the ottoman cushions and blankets and made a chair right next to her little sis. Doesn't get much sweeter.

Dress up

The joy of having girls! This is what I have the pleasure of seeing about 4 or 5 times a week...at least.

Time for Tea

To begin the new semester of Preschool Choir, Mrs. Smith (or Mrs. Smiff as Maia calls her) held a tea party. It was suggested to the girls that they wear a "big floppy hat and one of their mommy's dresses." Well, Maia and I put our heads together and this cute little thing is what we came up with.





And Josie didn't get to go to the tea party, but still donned a flower for good measure.

Did someone say chocolate?

Is it just me, or is Valentine's Day getting as bad as Halloween with all the candy?! Well, we did get the girls a few little treats for the "holiday" (I use the term loosely, but we love any excuse to get them something fun.:) Maia was all about her sparkly Skechers and Josie...well, Josie was clearly all about the chocolate. But, if this day was about love, then spending the day with the girls was perfect!

Happy New Year Cousins!

Maia and Josie celebrated the first day of new year by getting to play with their cute little cousins, Dawson and Maddi. What better way to start off a new year, than hanging with fam?!

Christmas 2009

Well the Christmas holiday for 2009 was filled with ups and downs for the Reed family! These pictures were taken on the Sunday before Christmas, right after our Christmas Worship Service. Robert did a fantastic job planning our Christmas service at church. It was months of planning, preparation and prayer, and it paid off. It was a very sweet time of worshipping our Savior, with our church family, and HE was glorified.
But, you will notice these are the only pictures we have for the entire Christmas festivities. The very next morning, our sweet Maia woke up sick (and you can use your imagination with what all that entails), the next day little Josie caught her big sis' bug, Rob got hit Christmas Eve, then I completed the sickness circle on Christmas day! Overall, we wished we would have felt better. But we were still grateful to be able to celebrate the birth of our Precious Lord with all of our families. God has blessed our family in more ways than we even know and we are truly humbled by His love for us.
